Claudia Final Look

Mrs Ladderman final look

start by putting the hair into a neat pony tail using hairspray to smooth the sides
with the pony tail separate into two sections, slightly backcombing each section  and pin inwards in a sort of a bun shape and fan out with, creating two small plates either side of the head  and pin into the middle of the bun

start by seperating the hair into two more in the back then then front, with the front section of the hair part tin the middle and curl bot sides of the hair, with the back of the hair gather onto a pony tail leaving some hair out and begin to curl the pony tail with the loos pieces of hair  curl them and pin up towards the pony tail.

Estella evaluation

i though this look turned out very well i tried to keep the makeup simple as that's how i saw Estella her makeup was always minimal adding the bruising was the big part of the look trying to get the balance right between the colours was hard and trying to make it look realistic the air was straight forward although in my designs the bun of the hair was much higher if i could change anything about this look it would be to work into the bruise a bit more, make it stand out more.

final evaluation miss havisham

for this project i was comfortable working with shahana as i had worked with her before and know her skin type my design was fairly straight forward to apply and there was no complications my design idea proved to be somewhat tricky when creating the continuety version trying to get the same look twice was chalanging

miss havisham practice look (makeup)

this was my first attempt at my final design of muss havisham out of the three of my face chart ideas the second one appealed to me more so i chose this look for my final design i started of by applying a pale base foundation over the face and under the neck and on the ears then using a darker colour foundation i asked the model to from so the lines in her forehead was visible  also squinting her eye produces lines within the corners of her eyes and at the sides of her mouth i drew thin lines of brown where the lines were noticeable.
with the eyes i used a dark brown eye shadow around the top of the eyes and under the eye lines and a darker colour for the bags.
i then applie liquid latex on the cheeks the top of the nose and around the lips then once dried i began to peal of gently creating an extreme flaky dry skin effect then finally adding some white eye shadow to the eyebrows.

miss havisham practice look (hair)

when styling miss havishams hair i started off by sectioning the hair into two front and back with the front i separated into two through the middle and out 3 large curls falling down on both sides of the the face.
with the back of the hair i parted into two also but in the shape of a horse shoe with the top section i tied into a bun shape but still in four equal parts then with the bottom of the hair u curled and pinned up towards the bun.
finally i used dry shampoo to create a grey hair effect.

Estella

Estella to me was a one of the more mysterious characters after miss havisham,
what looked to be a soft and loving was actually incapable of love and was groomed to be a very hard women.
reading the book helped more more with coming up with a look for Estella because you don't have have an actual image to base her in just what you read and you get much more of an description of what she is like.
when it came to starting my design for Estella I had three different ideas the base makeup was kept simple with a pale face rosy cheeks and pink lips the thing i changed in the design was the placement of the bruising as we know she was abused by her husband.

The first the bruising was placed on the side of the chin and under one eye.

The next design i placed a small cut on the side of the lip and bruising on the forehead and under one eye.

The last design had bruising on the top of the forehead and under the eyes.

miss havisham ideas

creating miss Havisham i cane up with 3 different face charts that i thought best represents miss havisham

the first face chart i created was this look with bloody fleshy burns around the face

the second face chart was i went with a more old unkempt look with extreme dry scabbing on the nose lips and cheeks with dark bags under the eyes and old age lines around the forehead the eye and around the sides of the mouth.

the last look i created was more simpler with a pale face and old ageing techniques around the forehead nose eyes mouth and chin.

Continuity

continuity in makeup is important in film and tv continuity meaning that the makeup remains the same in each shot wether its blood splatters on the body, placing of a wound or the wing of an eye liner continuity in film is important because when watching a film people expect tv and film to look realistic to if a wound of any type of makeup changes position within te same shot it would be unprofessional.

i started of by separating the hair into large equal section, curl each part and pin allowing the curl to set
after leaving the curls for a momment or two i removed the pins and brushed the curls out for a soft curl look after i then curled two sides of the hair and pined at the back
this look didn't turn out very well because i brushed the curls out a bit too much so it looks slightly to strait .

Dark eyes and lips

Wound Molds

i started if with a gunshot mold made of latex
then using adhesive i applied to the hand, using witch hazel on a cotton bud i smoothed over any unwanted edges and covered with foundation on the inner part of the wound i added dark blood then mixed a lighter shade blood with tiny dabs of puss to it.

wax wound

creating this wound using wax was new to me i started of by spreading the wax over my area of choice trying to get it as evenly spread as i could i then covered with foundation then using a spatula i created my wound mark on the inside of the wound i added dark blood and puss and let it drip down the face.

The coverage on the wound could have been applied much better and much smoother over the skin to look more realistic.

Bruises

This was my first attempt at creating a bruise effect and it looks fairly simple but getting the balance of the colour's right so it looks realistic also having to think about if its a fresh bruise or an old bruise matters.
i decided to go with a fresh looking bruise for this bruise I used a bruise wheel with green, purple, blue and touches of yellow.
i tried to spread the colours evenly around so it doesn't jut look like a purple patch on the forehead.

for my first attempt i think it turned out decent but the more i practice the better it will look.
